Kennedy Cares Week May 25–June 1 Every Cougar belongs in school. Be part of it.
For years, Messiah Lutheran Church has been quietly showing up for Kennedy families. When families without stable housing needed help getting their kids to school, Messiah found a way to make it happen. Just a community doing what neighbors do, year after year.
That kind of quiet consistency is rare, and it planted a seed.
The results have been remarkable. In the first year alone, attendance rates for kids who needed transportation jumped from 78% to 92%. Read the full story here.
In early 2026, a small group of Kennedy community members decided to build something more lasting around that spirit. Something flexible enough to meet needs as they come up, and sustainable enough to still be running ten years from now. We formed Kennedy Family Support Network, Inc., a Wisconsin 501(c)(3) nonprofit, because we believe the Kennedy community has everything it needs to take care of its own. It just needed a structure to do it.
Messiah made the founding investment. Kennedy families, neighbors, and community partners are funding the rest.
