Kennedy takes care of our own.
Every Cougar belongs in school.
When life makes that hard, we show up.
The Story
For years, Messiah Lutheran Church has been quietly making sure Kennedy kids get to school when their families hit a rough patch. Just a neighbor showing up, year after year, because that's what they do.
That kind of consistency deserves something more lasting behind it. So we built one.
Kennedy Family Support Network exists because a community is strongest when it takes care of itself. Not one institution carrying the load alone, but neighbors, families, and community partners all showing up together. The van is how we start. A ride to school, every morning, for any Cougar who needs one.
How It Works
Our van runs daily routes, picking up Kennedy students each morning or bringing them home after school. Families are connected through the relationships our team has built at Kennedy over years. When a need comes up, we meet it.
Launching September 2026.
Show up for your neighbors.
Every dollar goes directly to getting Cougars to school. The van launches September 2026 and it's happening because this community made it happen.

Why transportation?
We asked Kennedy families what would make coming to school easier. Transportation came up again and again, not just for families experiencing housing instability, but for families navigating shift work, limited cars, and a school that sits just close enough to the shelter to fall outside the yellow bus zone.
Every Cougar deserves a seat in class. That's where we started.
